The barometer was steady last evening:, the reading being 30.10. "Wellington—The weather was fine yesterday. The morning was cloudy, but tho sun came out in the afternoon and it remained bright for the remainder of the day. Tho wind was light from the north. Dnnedin—Following several days of unsettled weather which wero notable for heavy rain-and strong south-west winds, conditions -were, fine and . pleasant yesterday. There was more sunshine than cloud, with a fresh wind from the south-west. The maximum temperature was 70 degrees.
