At the December mcetinjr of the Sy 'enhain School C mmittee there wc e present Messrs C. H. Rintoul (chairman). J. 11. Pratt. J. G. Brown. T. Trenbcrth. A. Milne. J. E. Queree. G. H. M. Thompson. U . Lloyd, and H. H. Cobb. The headmaster reported that the number on the roll at the end of November was boys 4-61. and girls, 44y. average attendance 850. or 94 per cent. The headmaster on behalf ot the staff and him«v»Jf. wished 'he committee the season's trreeting. The rc-ignation of Mrs L. Hould n was accepted with regret. It was unam triotislv decided to ho!d n uicnic nt the lietrinnin" of the vear. Kniapoi. TCirwee and the Riccrrton Racecourse beinc the most places, it was decided to ask the headmaster for his choice and the mo=t suitable date. Mpssi-c Rintoul and Brown were ol"e----t"d to make arrnntrements for t<i-> picnic.
