CHINESE NAVY.
♦ BRITISH MISSION OF ADVICE. BRITJSn OFFICIAL WIREI.ESS.) RUGBY. December 2. The Admiralty announces that in accordance with the Chinese-British Naval agreement, signed in June, 1929, at Nanking, a British Naval Mission is to proceed to China to advise and assist the Ministry of the Navy of the Nationalist Government in its projected reorganisation and modernisation of the Chinese navy. Captain H. T. Baillie-Grohman has been selected head of the mission. He will assume the rank of Commodore in the Chinese Navy, and will proceed to China early in 1931 to arrange the preliminnries with Vice-Admiral Ghen, Vice-Minister of the Navy, at Nanking. ____________
