SOUTH BRIGHTON PROGRESS LEAGUE.

A meeting of the South Brighton Progress League was held last evening. Mr A. E. Lawry presided. A letter was received from the New Brighton Borough Council in connexion with work the League had asked to have done. It was decided to write to the Council drawing their attention to the dangerous state of Herring Bay road, and to the Aranui Burgesses' Association, asking them to draw the attention of the Heathcote Council to the condition of Breeze's road. It was reported that on Thursday evening Mairehau would pay a return visit to South Brighton. The formation of a cricket team was left to the Entertainment Committee. At the conclusion of the meeting, a meeting of the South Brighton Gala Committee was held, when arrangements were made for the Gala to be held at Pleasant Point,
