BABY ABANDONED.
(rnESS ASSOCIATION TE LEG BAM.) BLENHEIM, December 2. Yesterday, two women who were working in a Picton garden, had their attention drawn to a box thrown on an ash heap. Investigation revealed a newly-born female child, crying lustily. The infant was taken to the hospital and is there doing well. The police are endeavouring to trace the mother.
