MAJESTIC THEATRE.
"SHOW GIRL IN HOLLYWOOD." "A Girl in 1101 l ywood,'' at thb Majestic Theatre this week, is the story of li£o in tho film contro revealed from bd unusual angle. The Btory breaks new ground in that it reveals somo of tho truth about 1 the difficulties that face a newcomer thcro, and does not, as moat films based on similar subjects in tho past have done, restrict' itsolf to tho portrayal of the excitement, the gay life, and the possibilities of advancement for the right kind of talent. Tho life depicted is of a different sort, showing the pitfalls that await tho unwary, tho rapidity of change, so that those who are apparently at the peak of success to-day are looking for jobs to-morrow. The story ban plot, and is interestingly related, while the colour sequences of the film within a film at the end ar« quite well don©. Tho principal roles aro played by Alice White and Jack Mulhall.
There is also an interesting: newsreel, one of the attractions of which is a short speech hy the Primo Minister, tho Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes.
