PARACHUTE DESCENT.
UNFORTUNATE ENDING. (PBESS ASSOCIATION TEI^GRAK.) R.OTORUA, November 29. A parachute descent arranged by the Kotorua Aero Club ended unfortunately, Captain Noah Jonnasson receiving injuries to a leg, the extent of which will not be known till an X-ray examination is made. The sky was cloudless, with a high wind blowing, when Flying-Officer Money, in the monoplane Arawa took oft". After climbing to over 3000 feet the parachutist jumped. The aerodrome was crowded with cars and spectators, and the parachutist, in attempting to avoid the crowd, landed in the adjacent scrub with considerable force. He was taken to the King George Hospital for treatment, suffering considerably from injuries and shock.
