A party of twenty-throe members of the Christchurch Mountaineering Club spent the week-end in camp afc the Canterbury Winter Sports Club but at the foot of Mount Cheeseman in £he Castle Hill range. The climbing men in the party, starting at 3 o'clock yesterday morning, madf the ascent of Mt. Hamilton (about 5000 feet), but cold weather conditions and strong winds were experienced.
