The barometer is falling nnd registered 30.30 last evening. Wellington—A. high north wind blew over tho but both days were sunny and warm. Donedin—The weather was fine and pleasant over the week-end, with a light wind from the- south-east. The barometer Btood at 29.80 last evening. Forecast. General Situation—Pressure is still high ever northern Hew Zealand, bat a .depression has* advanced- on to the southern portion. An intense anti-cyclone covers south-eastern Australia. Winds—'Moderate to strong northerly winds, baekiag gradually to south-westerlies during the next 24 honrs. Seas (N.Z. waters)—Eough about» Cook »nd Fouveaux Straits, elsewhere moderate. Taeman Sea—'Moderate to strong winds, backing to. west and south-west in the eastem Tasman; seas moderate to rather rough. most part fair, but some scattered, showers, principally in the western districts of the .South Island and in the far south; temperatures mild at first, but becpm- j ing cooler to-morrow.
