TWO WOMEN MISSIONARIES. (ITXITED PRSCSS ASSOCIATION—B* ELECTBIC TELE&BASH COPTXIQHT.) (Received November 30th, 5.5 p.m.) SHANGHAI, November 29. It is reported here that Mrs H. D. Hayward, an American, and Miss Egomersal, a British nurse, left Vim station at Lanehow at the end of October for Peking. Mrs Hayward, who was critically ill, was seeking a surgical operation. Last week, when twenty miles from Patoachen, while travelling on rafts, bandits captured, robbed, and stripped them of their clothing. The women are still in captivity. The weather is very cold. Other missionairies are attempting a rescue, and a relief party leaves Peking to-morrow seeking the captives. The party is composed of Messrs Findlay and Andrews (famine workers), Lieutenant Kanaga (United States Navy), and Captain Staples (British Navy).
