GARDEN COMPETITION.

SUMNEK-REDCLIFFS DISTRICT. Organised by the Surnncr-Rx?dclitf s Beautifying Society, a competition among home gardens in those districts is now being held, and judging, which commenced yesterday, will be completed to-day. About 50 entries have been received, being four more than was the case last year. The judging is in the hands of tne Canterbury Horticultural Society, Messrs M. J. Barnett, \V. J. Humm, O. W. B. Anderson, W. S. Young and H. L. Darton acting as judges. Final results in connexion with the competition will be known this eveningGardens on the flat will be judged today. those on the hill having been inspected yesterday.
