EXPORT DUTY IMPOSED. VPKBS3 ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM ) WELLINGTON, November 27. With the object of stabilising the buying market and protecting tho native growers, the Government has decided to impose an export duty on all bananas shipped from Samoa. The new duty, which comes into effect on January Ist, will be at the rate of 2s d each "Fiji" or largo sized case, and s on each "citrus" or small sized case, he prefers, tho Administrator may impose a duty at tho rato of onc-farthing per Jb the not weight of fruit expor ed, this rate being enforced at his iscretion. No exemptions will be owed and the New Zealand Government will have to pay duty in common with other shippors. ..
