FUNERAL Ob THE RLV IAIHhR 1 A GILBERT AT CHRISTCHURCH YESTERDAY .—The boys of St. Bedes College marching at the head of the cortege as the funeral of the Rev. Father T. A. Gilbert, the Rector of the College, left the Roman Catholic Cathedral for the Waimairi Cemetery yesterday morning The route from the Cathedral to the hearse was lined by scholars and members of Church schools and other organisations.

MEMBERS OF THE MASONIC GRAND LODGE ON THE LAWN AT "OTAHUNA."—The delegates attending the Annual Communication of the Masonic Grand Lodge of New Zealand were the guests' of Sir R. He at on Rhodes at "Otahuna" yesterday afternoon. The party included the Governor-General (Lord Bledisloe) and nearly 500 members of the Order.
