TOC H LEAGUE.
WOMEN HELPERS' MEETING. The annual meeting of the Toe H League of Women Helpers took place last evening at Toe H headquarters, 70 Chester street. Mrs Owen William® presided over a good attendance ol members. Padre O. Williams reported that * letter had been received from headquarters, London, and from the Dominion executive granting officiaf recognition to the Christcnurch Group of the League of Women Helpers. It was decided to apply to headquarters for the rushlight to which this group is entitled now that it has obtained official recognition. The secretary (Miss F. L. Cooper) read a resume of the work of the League since its inception, showing that many "jobs" had been done by members during the year, that the members had been able in many ways to be of service to the poor, aged, sick and unfortunate, and that there was every prospect of there being a wider sphere of usefulness during the cpming year. The statement of receipts and expenditure was read and showed a small credit balance. It was decided that the closing meeting of the year should take the form or a social gathering, and that each member bring a gift of a toy for a poor child. Miss Mulvany-Gray then gave a most interesting talk, describing her work in Salonika while a member of the Scottish Women's Hospital unit during the Great War.
