LORRY-DRIVER FINED.

As a sequel to a sensational smash at a railway crossing in.Hawera on October 24th when the motor-lorry he drove was hurled a considerable distance by a passenger train and he miraculously escaped injury, William Greig pleaded euflty to-day to a charge of attempting to proceed over the crossing when it was not clear, and was fined £2.
