"ARMS AND THE MAN."
Few characters in comedy are m £f.° pungently attractive than Captain BluutscuU, the "hero;'* of Shaw's "Arms and the Man. He offends romantic notions of war by his argument that it is better soldier to run than to die in the last ditch, to seek a hiding-place instead of the enemy, and to save his life with chocolate instead of Selling it dear with a revolver. Since he is (of course) all wron?, . it is annoying or Shaw ;to have made him so unanswerable. The Canterbxiry Repertory Theatre Society .s. production of this diverting and, challenging masterpiece opens on Saturday night at the Radiant Hall. Booking plans at The Bristol.
