SELWYN FREE KINDERGARTEN.

An interesting afternoon was spent at Selwyn Kindergarten, when Miss Tabart gave a short talk to the mothers of the pupils, on the subject of "New Zealand-made goods for "New ZealandMrs Parlanc presided, in the absence of Mrs Hamlin, and.4he.ro- was a good attendance. Miss L Tabart, who was listened to with marked attention, illustrated her lecture with var'ious' charts - and specimens of New Zealand manufactures, such as pottery china, and articles of woollen and silk materials. After the lecture a hearty vote of thanks was accorded the speaker and afternoon tea WBI dispensed by the committee.
