FUNERAL.

LATE MR G. M. V. CHAMBERS* Fellow dirt-track riders, the staff ;iud directorate of Stadiums (Christchurch), Ltd., and many other mourners attended the funeral yesterday, of Mr George Matthew Victor Chambers, who died following an accident, at the Monica Park totadium last Saturday r,j.rht. The funeral left 234 Lichheld street for the residence of the parents, Mr and Mrs Victor Chambers, Gobble s Valley, going from there to the Gebbic's Valley Churchyard, where the service was" conducted by the Rev. D. R. Hay. . Stadiums (Christchurdi), Ltd., .were represented bv the chairman of directors (Mr P. R. Climie), the directors (Messrs G. Lambert and J. B. N'eale), tlus secretary (Mr H. A. Barrett), and Mr W. Williamson. The pall-bearers, were dirt-track riders and members of the staff of Jones Motors, Ltd.: Messrs G. Smith, H. Durkin (the Australian rider), E. R. Marsh, H. Longdin. W. J. Burke, and W. McDonald. Wreaths were sent ' by:—Father, Mother. Ellen, Harold, Charlie, and John, Mr and Mrs T. Streeter and family, Eileen and Roy, Maud and George, Speedway Riders' Association, directors and officials of Stadiums (Christchurch), Ltd., executive and members of New Zealand Speedways Association, executive and members of New Zealand Autocyele Union, Donald Gebbie, directors of Jones Motors, Ltd., staff of Jones Motors, Ltd., the Parrett family (Springst-on), Mr and Mrs George Templeton and Mr and Sirs J. R. Templeton, Mr and Mrs C. V/. Gebbie. Mr A. Chambers and Mr and Mrs Kinsella- and-family, Rose and Mavis, Gwen and Norrie - Platter, Madge, Gladys, Mr and Mrs Palmer find family, Katie, Jack. and. Nell, Pioneer Sports Club, the Griffiths family, M|r and Mrs Burke and family, Bill, Sandy, and Jack Taylor, Olive - and Snowy, Uncle John and- Aunt .Maria, Herbert an£ Laura.
