Serious disturbances occurred at the country centre of Aberdeen, when the master butchers began work at the local slaughterhouse in order to provide meat for city consumers. One man was severely punched and kicked, and another was stoned. A large body of police is now affording protection. It is expected that similar disorders will take place at other centres where killing is in progress. The local police accordingly have been strengthened.
