ESCAPED FROM PRISON.

'ViKin the inmates ot' a military prison were summoned for church parade this morning it was discovered that Commandants Ramon Franco and Reyes, who wore imprisoned for Republican activities, had escaped by removing a grille and sliding to the street by a 20ft rope.
General Berenguer said that Franco i:oiild easily have walked out of the door, because he was merely privately detained. IJls had now incurred dismissal from the Army by breaking parole.
