GOVERNOR-GENERAL.
Lord BledisJoe, who ivas joined during yesterday by Sir John Hanham, has now taken up his residence at the Christchurch Club. lie spent last evening privately and has no public engagements for to-day, but to-morrow will attend the annual communication of the Grand Jjodge of Freemasons ot New Zealand, when he will be installed as Grand Master for New Zealand for the ensuim; year. Lady Bledisloe, accompanied by their Excellencies' aide-de-camp, Lieutenant J. C. Elworthy, R.N., left for Wellington last evening by the ferry steamer Maori.
