JUSTICES VISIT PAPARUA GAOL.

Messrs A- Williams, president of th* Canterbury Justices of the Peace Association, and Messrs H. F. Herbert, G. E. Franklin, C. H. Gilby, J. W. Baty, and Lieutenant-Colonel F. B. Creswell, members of the Council of the Association, visited tho Paparua Prison or: Saturday afternoon, ana were shown over it and the prison farm by the superintendent, Mr W. T. Leggett. At the conclusion of the inspection Mr A. Williams, on behalf of the visitors, expressed their appreciation of the opportunity given , them to go over the prison, and of Mr Leggett'a courtesy in shewing them over.
