"It pays other peopls to stir up trouble in our country," said Mr Justice Roche in sentencing five whites and 17 Arabs to terms ranging from three to sixteen months' imprisonment, iti connexion with the South Shields riots in August. ""V recommended that 10 Arabs should deported. . Asked whence £7iu money supporting the minority movement was derived, a police inspector replied that one accused was a member of a dele nation which was in conference with Russia Mr Justice Roche: That is what i generally find. Commonlir.p on the statement that the two whites leading the trouble were professional agitntors. Mr Justice Roche said: "They took care to be away when the trouble came. They are all cowards, really."
