THE GOVERNOR GENERAL.
RETURN TO CHRISTCHURCH. The Governor-General •of New Zealand (Lord Bledisloe) and Lady Bledisloe returned to Christehurch on Saturday evening and are staying at the United Service Hotel. Yesterday morning, Lady Bledisloe attended the service at the Christchurch Cathedral. Their Excellencies were also present at the evening service in the Cathedral. In the afternoon they made a private visit in tho City. To-day Lord and Lady Bledisloe will pay their first official visit to Lyttelton. They will, be welcomed by the Mayor (Mr W. T. Foster) and the residents at 10.15 a.m. in the Lyttelton District High School grounds, and will Inter r.«! the guests of the Mnvor and councillors at morning tea. They have ac c< pted the invitation of the chairman (Mr H. T Armstrong. M.P.) and members of the Lvttelton Harbour Board to take lunoh on bonrd the tug It is hoped that time will be available for a tour of inspection round the inner harbour.
