BUSINESS FOR TO-NIGHT'S MEETING. In addition to proposals relating to the erection of shelters for waiting tramway passengers in Cathedral square, matters connected with hoard ings will be discussed at to-night's meeting of the City Council. Following i 9 a summary of the more im portant matters on the order paper: • Consideration of tenders for painting and plumbing repairs at Victoria Park house. Consideration of the question of the hoarding at the corner of Ferry road and Oak street. Councillor Beanland's notice ot motion regarding hoardings in business areas. Councillor Armstrong's notice of motion in reference to the sale of New Zealand made electrical goods. Adoption of by-law relating to the sale oi' uiilk, and providing for the establishment of a laboratory. Offer of site ill Opawa for a library building. Application for permission to erect smoke room and storeroom in Smith street, Woolston. Application for permission to erect a house on a emotion in Woodham road with insufficient frontage. Application for the establishment ot a business as hide exporters at a store in Harper street. Svdenham. Proposed joint action by local bodies for purchase of cement and other supplies. Consideration of scheme propoundea by the Mayor of Eltham for the relief of unemployment.
