MASONIC GRAND LODGE.
ANNUAL COMMUNICATION NEXT WEEK.
-Considerable interest is being taken in the Annual Communication of tbe Grand Lodge of Freemasons of New Zealand, which is to take place in Christchurch nest week. The present Grand Master, Mr J. J. Clark, of Dunedin, will arrive in Christchurch early in the week, and will preside at the gathering, and it is expected that delegates will be present from nearly all of the 300 lodges belonging to Grand Lodge, together with many of the present and past Grand Officers.
The business session of Grand Lodge will commence on the morning of Wednesday next, when the reports of the respective Boards will be submitted by Mr W. G. Hay (Dunedin'), President of the Board of General Purposes, and Mr S. "P. Bridgman (Dunedin), President of the Board of Benevolence.
On the evening of the same day his Excellency Lord Blcdisloe will be installed as Grand Master by the retiring occupant of that high office; Mr J, H. Harkness, of Westport, will be installed as Pro-Grand Master, and Mr O. H. Moller, of Dunedin, as Deputy-Grand Master, and the officers for the ensuing year will be invested. The offices of Grand Lodge have now been removed from Dunedin to Christchurch, and Colonel Barclay, Grand Secretary, and staff have taken up their headquarters at 96 Gloucester street, where the business of Grand Lodge will be conducted for the ensuing two years.
