TROUBLE OVER.
MR M'BRINE'S EXPLANATION ACCEPTED. ..rasas association tilsgb <js.j AUCKLAND, November 20. The little unpleasantness which has been agitating members of the Auckland Waterside Workers' Union over the nomination of Mr Oscar Mcßrine, a member of the union, for a seat on the Unemployment Board, has apparently been brought to a satisfactory end., Officials of the union refuse to make any statement as to the outcome of the meetings held this week to hear Mr Mcßrine'« explanation why he allowed himself to be nominated. contrary to the wishes of the union, but it can now be stated fairly definitely that the explanation has been accepted and that it will not be necessary for IJr McBrine to resign from the union. It had been stated in earlier reports of the meetings that Mr Mcßrine was president of the union, but officials of the union explain that, although he occupied that position previously, he has not held office for some time.
