An extraordinary story was told in the Lawrence Court to-day, when Ethel Margaret Fa hey, aged twenty pleaded guilty to sending to a newspaper for publication notice of her death, knowing the same to be untrue. The girl's statement to the police was that her purpose was to lead a voung man in Dunedin to believe she was dead, this man, she averred, having written threatening to do for her it she did not resume her acquaintance with hiiri. She denied that the advertisement was inserted to mislead Dunedin creditors. , Her advertisement announced that her funeral-would go from Milton to Anderson's Bay.
