CASHMERE DEEP DRAINAGE.

DISCHARGE INTO BOARD'S SYSTEM. I CONDITIONS LAID DOWN. The Drainage Board, at its meeting last night, adopted tho following report of its special committee on the proposal to connect the Cashmere sowers with tho Board's system:— (1) That the Heathcote County Council be permitted to discharge the sewerage from Cashmere into the Board's sowers. (2) That tho annual charge be fixed at £250 per annum on the present estimate of 000 houses connected to the sewers. (3) That the above charge be revised annually and a further charge of 10a per annum be made for every additional house connected with the system. , (4) That the Board reserves the right to revise the above charges at any timo in the event of any alteration being made in tho charges for electric power supply. (5) That tlio report of the engineer presented to the Board at last meeting bo approved and adopted with the addition of the following condition to paragraph (a): Should it be found necessary at any timo to have the sowers and house connexions in the Cashmere system inspected, the Board, after consulting the Heathcote County Council, shall have tho right to have such sewers and house connexions inspected and the cost of such inspection shall be paid by the Heathcote County Council.
