SCHOOL COMMITTEES.

MEETING OF ASSOCIATION. The Canterbury School Committees Association met last night, the president (Mr J. G. Brown) presiding over an attendance of about thirty. A telegram from the Minister tor Education (the Hon. H. Atmore) stated that tlfe Minister would be pleased to accept the Association's invitation to address the Association on the report of the Education Committee. He was unable as yet to name a suitable date, but would do so later. ■ . The Leeston. School Committee wrote enquiring whether it would not be possible to arrange for. a meeting at l.eeston to discuss the Education Report in order to give the committees of the surrounding districts an opportunity of hearing different views on the subject. The. executive is to consider the request.- - • amounting to £2 14s od were passed for payment.
