Several extra express trains were run during the week-end to convey passengers from Christchurch to various parts of the South Island. There

wore 400 on tlio first express south on Saturday morning, 20() on tho nitwit express on Sunday. 3-30 on the first express yesterday, and -2-30 at mid-day. An extra train to Timaru on Saturday was also filled. Over 200 visitors from Uio West Coast; returned by an extra express to Greymoutli yesterday morning.
