The final between O. Andersen and N. V. Smith in view of the fact that both are much improved players, should provide an itn|;-esting match. HANMER SPRINGS CLUB. The Hanmer Golf Club played a flag match during the week-end. The winner was C. A. Lahmert, who carried his flag to the 19th hole. H. Phillips was second, getting his ball near the 19th hole. Miss D. Mansfield, E. N. Smith, F. Coote, and R. P. McKay all reached the 19th green. AVONDALE LADIES' CLUB. In the semi-finals of the, Stringer Bowl foursome — I Mrs J. H. Early and Miss Shand beat Mie G. Millar and Mrs R. Atkinson, 6 and 5 Mrs J. M. Preston and Misa E. Ij. Sapsford beat Miaa A. V. Sapsford and Mrs Mucintyre. Entries close during the week-end for a four-ball match for the president's trophies, to be played on Saturday, November 29th.
