SECOND GRAND CONCERT. The second concert and twenty-ninth annual gathering of the clans, organised by Christcburch members of the-Scottish • Society., was heldjn the rooms, Manchester-street, last evening. As for. the* first effort on Thursday, there wsb enthusiastic attendance *' of members and their friendi.. The pibroch', sweet traditional songs, dances, and Teal • Scottish humour, sustained an atmosphere reminiscent of olden times, in distant places. A feature of the evening was- the presentation of sprigs of heather to the 'audienc?. These, dry and brittle as they were, seemefl immediately to touch kindred chords qf memory amongst those present, and tlje magic meaning of the word "reunion" was •fully explained.
