- DISCHARGE GRANTED. I'THE* PRESS Special Service.] AUCKLAND, November 13. An order for discharge from bankruptcy was granted' to Thomas *i. O'Brien, picture theatre proprietor, in tiid Supreme Court. Mr J ustico lierdman said ho had adjourned the case fx-om the last bankruptcy sitting, as a large sum was involved, and he desired more information. Since that time the Official Assignee had prepared an additional report, which had been filed in the Court. In that report there was a paragraph, which stated that the Oiiiciai Assignee's investigation of the debtor's affairs did not disclose any offence under the peua] clauses of the Bankruptcy Act. As there was no evidence of any offence under the Act, his Honour said he proposed to grant the application. The order could be cancelled if anything transpired afterwards within ten years. Mr Inder: There is very little likelihood of ailything of that sort. The discharge was then granted.
