The homicidally-mindo<j population in New York is growing in numbers and becoming increasingly quick on trigger, while pistollera of both sexes are shooting straighter than over before. A glance through the crime records of thirty days since Jack Diamond was shot shows that 91 nersons were shot in New York, of whom 42 are already buried, and thia takes no account of the suburban areas. The city's record for the last year was 357. So far this year the figures exceed those by 50 per cent. The New York "Evening Telegram" is demanding that the authorities take immediate action.
