Going from home for nevv-s -the English "Live Stock Journal of October 3rd S" ys —The Federal Government of Australia has issued a proclamation prohibiting; the export of Merino sheep without Ministerial authority. This action follows the shipment ol SQOO sheep" to Russia, and it is now reported that an attempt is being made to circumvent this proclamation by moving thousands of stud sheep to New Zealand, where there is no export embargo. They would then be pastured for a few months, and finally shipped to Russia and South Africa.
