A WAIMATE BOOKMAKER. (PBESS ASSOCIATION TELEOBAM.) WAIMATE, June 17. "I do not propose to send defendant to prison, though that is going to be considered by the Courts if bookmakinc isn't stopped by substantial fines, said Mr C. R. Orr-Walker, 8.M., in fining Richard Yesberg, a Billiard saloon keeper £250 in default three months' imprisonment. The Magistrate remarked that it was not denied that Yesberg had been carrying on bookmaking in a big way for six years.
