TRIP DOWN THAMES. STAR-GAZING AT GREENWICH. (BRITISH oniClil WIBELESS.) RUGBY, March 22. King Amanullah was keenly interested in what ho saw to-day on his voyage in a launch down the Thames. He passed many big ships, including the White Star liner Megan tie. Iri King George the Fifth Dock he inspected xne great 100-cou lifting derrick, which is the latest acquisition. The Customs sheds, and an immense warehouse, where merchandise is stored, wero pointed out to him. Hto was astonished at the magnitude of the dock.
Visiting the Greenwich' Observatory, King Amanullah was conducted by Sir Frank Dyson, Astronomer Royal. He inspected the original ■ observatory, founded by Charles 11. in 1G75 and designed by Sir Christopher Wren, tie looked through the giant 28-inch telescope, which weighs three tons and a half, and is the largest in the United Kingdom or Europe. It had been hoped to show him a star of first magnitude, but the sky was too cloudy, and' thete were no planets in position favourable for observation.

The "Dailv Telegraph" states that the Foreign Office has arranged for tho filming of King Amanullah's tour in Britain, and copies of the film with Persian sub-titles will be forwarded to Kabul, where there is only one cinema.
