SYDNEY, December 9,

Cabinet has decided to hold an enquiry into the allegations of payments by grocers who held wine licenses in connexion with the amendment of the Liquor Act. The form of the enquiry has not yet been decided, but if necessary a Royal Commission will be appointed. [At a conference of grocers held on October 6th, charges were made against the Labour Government of accepting bribes in connexion with the amendment of the Liquor Act, regarding the abolition of wine licenses.]
