BRITISH DELEGATES AND SOVIET.
(BI CABLB— PBIBS ASSOCIATION— COPIBIQHT), (AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. AND SUN CABLE.)
LONDON,- December 8
In the House of Commons, Sir William Joynson-Hieks told Sir Reginald Hall that he had seen the Press reports that some British delegates at the Bolshevik celebrations took the oath of allegiance to the Soviet Republic: , . , ' Sir Reginald Hall: Isn't this tantamount to treason? Sir W. Joynson-Hieks: I am afraid it could not be the basis of a treason prosecution. I do %ot think: it would lose a British subject his rights. Commander Kenworthy: Did you see the photographs of Sir Austen Chamberlain giving the Fascist salute in Italy? Sir W. Joynson-Hieks: I wish you would send me a copy for my scrapbook.
