BOYS' PIANOFORTE RECITAL.

A recital was given at St. Andrew's College yesterday by several of tlia students who are studving "tho piano there with Mr Sydney Francis Hoben. The composers whose works were chosen for the programme were Schumann, Mozart, Mendelssohn, Jensen, Sinding, Scharwenka, and Harris. The boys who played were: Bruce Coe, Wilson Jack (Wellington), Flower, John Stevenson (Blenheim), Robert J. Jay, Norman Bowles, Jack Allen (Tauranga), "Harry Davies, Ray Lambie, Bruce Ballontrne (Wellington), W. Don Walker, Jack Bailey, Max Coulsen (Hokitika), Ralph Grimmer,' Desmond A'Court, and Arthur J. Baber (Auckland).
