SHIPPING NOTES
The Breeze is due this morning from Tiinaru, and is to be dispatched tliis afternoon with cargo lor Wellington and Wanganui. The Cygnet is to take in cargo to-day for Ivaikoura and Wellington. The Athenie arrived yesterday morning from Wellington to continue discharge of her car"o from Glasgow and Liverpool. The Holmdale should arrive this morning from Dunedin and Timaru. She is to sail this afternoon with cargo for Wellington and Wanganni. ' The "('ale is due on Tuesday from the north, sailing the same day for Dunedin and Tima.ru. , r , The intercolonial steamer Manuka is now expected to arrive at Lyttelton on Saturday the 17th inst., from Melbourne, via Wellington. She is to sail the same day for Dunedin, Bluff, and Melbourne. The Storm is expected on Wednesday from the south, and is to sail the same afternoon for Wellington, Pieton. and Wanganui. The Waipiata is due from Dunedin and Timaru on Tuesday. She loads for Auckland and sails via Wellington. The Kahika should be at Lyttelton on Wednesday next from Dunedin. Oamaru. and Timaru. She loads for Napier and Gisborne and sails via Wellington. The Kauio is due on Tuesday from Auckland and Wellington, and is to sail later for Dunedin and Bluff. The Waikouaiti should arrive here about the 21st inst. from Sydney, via Bluff and Dunedin. She discharges here and then loads for Sydney, completing at Timaru. The Federal liner Cumberland arrived at Auckland on Thursday night and berthed yesterday morning. She i« due at Wellington on Thursday next. The Ashburton is to leave New York on Januarv 15th for New Zealand ports. The Calm, which was to have laid up for overhaul at Lyttelton yesterday, was dispatched to Wanganui instead, to ship general cargo and sheep for Lyttelton. The Katoa should arrive at Lyttelton on the 20th from Portland, via Wellington. In a cable message received on Thursday, the arrival of the Cydonia is reported at Newport News from Sydney (C.8.) to take in further cargo for New Zealand ports. A cable report received from Home states that the Mataroa, which sailed from Auckland I on October 29th, arrived at Southampton on Tuesday morning. Cablo advice has been received from Paulina reporting the arrival oi the Canadian
