ELLESMERE GUN CLUB.

The Ellesmere Gun Club's annual social ans presentation of trophies wero held on Thursday evening in the Lakeside Hall. Macdonald's Orchestra provided the music for dancing. The president, Mr L. C. Lemon, thanked the donors of trophies, and spoke of the club'B successful season, in which it had won the Vale Sparrow Shield and the C.A.O. clay-bird cup, the latter to hold permanently. He made presentations to Mr \V. C. Shilton in recognition of his services as scorer, and to Miss Lavinia Nairn in appreciation of her action in serving refreshments at matches: — Tho following received trophies:—F. L. Graham, clay championship trophy; E. A. Washbourne, sparrow championship medal; Bob. Donald, Mr E. R. V. Winter's trophy; A. Thian, Mr J. 11. McMillan's trophy; E. A. Washbourne, Messrs Hammond and Turner's trophy; R. 0. Titian, Farmers' Co-op. trophy; G. Nairn, Mr L. C. Lemon's trophy; E. A. Washbourne, Mr D. Jones's trophy; W. Patterson, order on D.1.C.; Rob. Donald, Mr E. Mclntyro's trophy; E. A. Washbourne, Mr F. C. Frampton's medal; J. Winchester, Messrs W. H. Tisdall and Co.'s trophy; B. A. Washbourne, Messrs Hammond and Turner's trophy; F. L.
