WAIPUKUBAU, Docembcr D. Horace Radvers Maddaford appeared before Justices of the Pence this afternoon on a charge that being a clerk hj» received £l4 4s Id, and fraudulently emitted to account or pay tho same- to the Patangata County Council. Accus. Ed was remanded for fourteen days, bail' being allowed in accused's own recognisance of £3OO, and a similar surety, which was forthcoming.
