NANKING ARMIES.

SHANGHAI, December 8
The Nanking forces, having consolidated their position in the Nanking"Wuhan area, are commencing a concerted drive against the North with three armies.
Official Nationalist reports state that 200.000 Nationalist troops are participating from the Yang-Tsze Valley, aiming at co-operation with teng-iu-hsiang, flanking through the Shansi Province. A Nationalist powder magazine on the outskirts of Shanghai mysteriously exploded. This is officially attributed to Northern spies. There were twenty casualties.
CAPTAIN LALOR'S RANSOM
HONG KONG, December 8. Naval authorities report a mysterious silence since the missionary, Mr Tocher, left yesterday mornin e carrying 20,000 dollars ransom for Captain Lalor. . ... Mr Tocher departed in company with bandits for their rendezvous. \Vitli him was the pirate chief, who undertook to hand over Captain Lalor.
