BUDA PEST, December 7

Soldiers are patrolling the streets of Nagy-Varad, following serious riots, in which students from Jassy and Bucharest destroyed the editorial offices and printing presses of Hungarian _ newspapers and private residences, including the Chief Rabbi's. They fatally stabbed a Hungarian actor and seriously wounded an hotel proprietor. The citizens are remaining indoors and the shops are shut. Nagy-Varad was formerly in Hungary, but has been annexed by Rumania.
