SWIMMING CARNIVAL.

A POPULAR JUVENILE EVENT.

To-night the annual ichool children's swimming carnival, organised by the Baths Committee of the Ohrlstchurch Oity Council, assisted by ichool teachers, will be held at the Municipal Tepid Baths. This carnival is growing in popularity, and many interesting events are on the programme. AH the races are scratch events, and competition is of the keenest. Miss H. M. Cowley and Mr J. Broward, both R.L.S.S. diploma-holders, will give an exhibition of scientific swimming, and Mr G. Tiplcr, the diving comedian, wjll create much side-splitting mirth by his trick diving.
