SHIPPING NOTES. The ferry steamer Wahine arrived at Lyttelton over half an hour behind her usual time yesterday morning. The delay was due to a strong southerly gale encountered in Cook Strait. The Kotiti will leave for Akaroa to-day. To-morrow she loads for Kaikonra. The Holmdale is expected to-morrow from Dunedin, via Oamaru and Timaru, to load for Wellington and Wangßnui. The John is expected about December 19th to load for Wellington, Wanganui, and New Plymouth.
The Progress is duo about Friday next to load for Wellington, Wanganui, and New Plymouth. The auxiliary schooner Margaret W. is expected at Wellington to-morrow from Dargaville. She is due here on December 15th to load for Tauranga, Whangarei, and Thames. The Parera was due last evening from Gisborne to load for Waikckopu and other East Coast ports. The West Calera, from Pacific Coast ports, via Auckland and Wellington, is expected here about the middle of next week. After discharge she proceeds to Dunedin. The Kaimanawa. on completing her discharge of coal and cement, sailed last evenin? for Westport. The Corinna. from Dunedin. via Oamaru and Timaru. is expected this morning to load for Wellington. Jfelsou, and New Plymouth. The Kamo is expected on Sunday from Auckland, via Wellington. She leaves on Monday evening for Dunedin and Bluff. The Kahika. from Dunedin. via Oamaru and Timaru. is expected to arrive on Wednesday next to load for Wellington, Xapier, and Gisbornc. The intercolonial steamer Manuka is expected to leave Melbourne to-morrow for Wellington and Lyttelton, thence proceeding to Dunedin and Bluff. The Calm arrived last evening from Picton. She loads to-day. and is timed to Fail for Wanganui and Wellington this evening. The Storm was dispatched yesterday afternoon for Wellington and Wanganui. The Gale is expected on Tuesday from Wellington to load for Dunedin and Timaru. The Breere should load to-morrow for Wellington and Wanganui. The Cygnet is expected to return from Wellington, via Kaikoura. to-morrow. She may leave for Kaikoura and Wellington in the e^cnina.
. The Shaw, Savlll, and Albion liner Athenic is due this morning from Wellington to continue discharge of London cargo. The Kairang3, from Newcastle, via Hobart, was expected at Wellington at noon yesterday. Site has a cargo of coal from Newcastle, but, owing to the wotersidors' strike, was unable to load timber at Hobart. The Shaw, Savill, and Albion Co. report that the Mania was to leavo the Wanganui roadstead on Wednosday for Bluff and Wellington to continue loading. The vessel is duo at Wellington next Wednesday, and will leave there on the following Friday for Lyttelton and Port Chalmers. Prom the latter port the Mahia is to sail on December 20th for London, via I'untn Arenas and Montevideo.
The A.A.O. steamer West Calcra arrived at Auckland from Pacific Coast ports on Saturday evening. She is to sail to-morrow for Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and New Plymouth to complete discharge. Captain G. M. Curtis is in command, and has the following officers.-—Chief, Mr C. S. Bobbins; second; Mr N. K. Jacobsen; third, Mr A, Carlson; chief engineer, Mr H. T. Bergor; second, Mr W. N. Gunn; third, Mr B. J. Solesie; fourth, Mr M. O. Gildersteeve; wireless operator, Mr M. A. Haugc; chief steward, Mr J. Cleveland.
