__—-♦ QUARTERLY RETURNS. (PS ESS iSBOCUTION TBLEGRAK.) WELLINGTON, December 8,

The revenue returns of the Post and Telegraph Department for the quarter ended September 30th last are published in the Gazette to-night. The postal revenue (shillings and pence omitted) for the quarter amounted to £349,983, compared with £370,109 for the corresponding quarter last year. The telegraph revenue for the, same period was £419,786, compared with £408,559. Money orders issued totalled £1,288,155, compared with £1,291,849, and savings bank deposits £6,635,762, compared with £7,533,915.
