BLENHEIM, December 7.
The Marlborough Progress League considered to-day the * communication sent by the Minister for Public Works to Mr W. J. Girling, M.P., giving , details of the surveys made to ascertain the best route for the South Island Main Trunk line. The president (Mr B. F. Goulter) stated that he had communicated with the secretary of the Canterbury Progress League, and as a result he recommended the Marlborough League not to take any action until the matter had been dealt with by the Canterbury League, which it was understood would consider the Minister's letter to-morrow.
